Martin & Adilah
Hello Kruppies!
We are Martin and Adilah, your Resident Associates from C-Block Here is some more info about us…
Martin: I come from Zambia and am currently a PhD student in Biochemistry. I’ve been at Jacobs since 2007. Before that, I spent many years travelling around the globe and I did my bachelors and masters in Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology in Russia. It is because of that experience that I can speak fluent Russian. I also like learning new languages and I LOVE football. I play for the Jacobs football team and the Jacobs Faculty football team as a defender and participate in any sport I can get hold of.
Adilah: I come from Tanzania and am currently a PhD student in Polar and Marine Research (focusing on (Bio)-Geochemistry and Paleo-climatology). I’ve been at Jacobs since 2005. I did my BSc in BCCB here and so I’ve experienced first-hand and learnt a fair deal about this unique colourful community called Jacobs, since once upon a time I used to be a student living in the colleges like you! In my free-time I love experiencing new places and cultures (travelling!), hanging out with friends (I love having people around!), and cooking (my true passion- and at the moment taking advantage of all the different nationalities around me and learning their dishes!)- just to mention a few of my hobbies!
We are both fun loving people and enjoy participating in social activities. We are also good listeners and are always ready to offer a helping hand!
Let us share our experiences with you! We would like to continue to enhance an excellent social and multicultural community life here in the SPICIEST college on campus, Krupp College! In short, we are here to help you make Krupp a more homely home away from home! :)
Please feel free to drop by our apartment, call us, email us, facebook- (any means you prefer!), if you need a listening ear, some advice, a helping hand with something, or ANYTHING we can help you with…Even if there is nothing we can help you with, still drop by. We are very sociable and there’s always something to talk about :)
