Valentine's Party
It is a Jacobs tradition that Krupp College really kicks off the spring semester with a Valentine's Party. This year was no exception, with party venue Halle 3 being packed right until 4 am. But the Valentine's celebrations weren't limited to just a party. One day earlier, all students had the opportunity to make their on Valentine's card in Krupp College Office. The Krupp team delivered them the next day with a rose.
While the Kruppies and the guests from other colleges were busy cutting and glueing their cards, the College Office Team went to work in Halle 3. Over 100 heart shaped balloons, streamers, red curtains and little illuminated hearts were set up to provide the right atmosphere.
On Saturday evening, Krupp College kicked the party off with a variety of free drinks. Guests clever enough to come within the first 30 minutes were treated. Both students and guests who had attended the Jacobs Indoor Rowing Cup earlier streamed into Halle 3.
While the DJ from off campus had to get used to the average Jacobs students' music taste (e.g. that 85% of our students have never heard the Werder Bremen fan song before), the party still got going and after midnight the place was rocking. Krupp College's very own Vassy joined the DJ and together they created one of the best selections of music at a Jacobs party to date. Hip Hop, R'n'B and mainstream proved to be perfect to getpeople dancing the night away.
During the whole night, Krupptastic Kruppie Tanja played Cupid. People who had spontaneously fallen in love could ask her to deliver a rose to their loved ones.
Thankfully, even with all the fun everyone had, the neighbours didn't complain and the party went on until 4.30am, when the lights were turned on amidst protests from some people still eager to party.
