New Year's Eve Party
This year Krupp College took up the initiative to organize and host Christmas and New Year's Parties, as well as staying open over the rest of the holiday season. On 31st December, after a splendid feast of gourmet food provided by Aramark, together with exquisite champagne and wine supplied by Krupp College, the New Year’s Eve gathering moved upstairs into the common rooms for playing board games and watching comedy sketches. All-time classics were screened, such as Mr. Bean's Christmas Special, as well as the cult television show known as "Dinner for One", where Miss Sophie, an elderly upper-class Englishwoman, celebrates her 90th birthday with her butler and imaginary guests, supposedly seated at the table with her. The celebration continued indoors until shortly before midnight, when the countdown to see off the old year was initiated. When the clock stroke twelve for the last time, a toast was raised for the new and exciting year 2009. Afterwards, the party moved to the frosty Krupp Terrace, where our devoted College Masters and Resident Associates prepared a treat for everyone’s eyes, delighting the students with a shower of colorful fireworks. Those enthusiastic enough also got the chance to set off some of the smaller fireworks, adding to the collective spirit of the evening. Happy New Year!
